A Nepali-American Folk Fusion Band
Himalayan Highway, a folk fusion band from Kathmandu, Nepal, blends American Bluegrass and Old-Time music with Nepali folk traditions. Recipients of an IBMA Foundation 2024 Arnold Shultz grant, they’re set to release their debut album in Winter 2024. The band hosted Nepal’s first Bluegrass Festival, has been featured in the Kathmandu Post and Bluegrass Today, and has appeared throughout the Kathmandu Valley, including at the Echoes in the Valley and Jazzmandu festivals. They are currently booking for their debut North American tour in Fall 2025!
